The design and construction of this mandolin is influenced by my background in arch top guitars, the most obvious being the Venetian cutaway and maybe not so obvious but the independent neck extension rising clear of the arched Sitka belly which has composite carbon fibre and spruce X bracing. Scale length is 350mm and lower bout 270mm, the indian rosewood f/b is mounted on a Otways blackwood neck incorporating a dual action trussrod and carbon fibre inserts.
