This Sycamore ukulele delivers a clear tone with plenty of volume. Sycamore tone wood is similar in color and properties to Maple, but it’s distinct lacy woodgrain gives it a unique appeal as opposed to straight grain woods. The end grain Sycamore on the hand carved neck is particularly beautiful and seems to have some curl in it which is elevated by the curly maple binding on the fingerboard and body. The wood figuring on the front and back plates exhibit deep brown heartwood streaks. CTrietsch
